The Board of the SNF Parkway Theatre — home to the Maryland Film Festival — is pleased to announce the appointment of a new executive leader and share the recent results of its refreshed strategic vision.
In Fall 2024, the Board of Directors convened a Search Committee to evaluate the organization’s leadership needs and launch a nationwide search for its next full-time Executive Director. The search drew widespread local and national interest, giving the committee a diverse slate of more than 100 candidates from over 15 states to consider, including many local and regional leaders. The Board has completed the national search and is delighted to announce Nancy Proctor as the SNF Parkway’s new executive leader.
Board Chairman Scot Spencer commented, “We are excited to have someone with Nancy’s record of success in revitalizing the Peale Museum, diverse background in the arts, and affinity for the great architectural institutions of Baltimore as the next executive director of the Maryland Film Festival and the SNF Parkway Theatre. She is the right person at the right time to accelerate our relaunch and new business plan, and with our great staff, continue to grow our community partnerships, and to make the Parkway a keystone in the Station North neighborhood.”
Proctor shared, “I am inspired by the opportunity to work with the SNF Parkway and Maryland Film Festival team on the relaunch of the landmark theater as a center of excellence and innovation in film and interactive media for our region.”
Board Vice Chair Camile Blake Fall reflected, “As the SNF Parkway continues its transformation into a hub of cultural invention for the Baltimore community, the board is thrilled to have Nancy at the helm, bringing to bear her creative vision, business acumen, and deep community roots.”
