Short Bio: Lauren Boilini was born and raised in Bloomington, Indiana. In 2006 she graduated from the Kansas City Art Institute with a BFA in painting and art history. In 2008 Boilini finished her MFA at the Maryland Institute College of Art, and then began a three-year residency at the Creative Alliance. She just moved into a new studio at the School 33 Art Center after having finished a residency in Wyoming. This May, Boilini will be an artist-in-residence at the Burren College of Art in Ireland. Right now she teaches painting and drawing at MICA and the University of Maryland, College Park, and is part of a two-person show entitled Mothership Connection at the Subbasement Studios.
