Baltimore’s first 24 Hour Art Show: ART NON-STOP!

Slumber party, and free art love!
STATION NORTH –Baltimore’s first truly egalitarian art show. Open to the public for 28 hours, on a weeknight and a weekend, with open, uncensored and free submission policy. All artists are invited to submit one piece of artwork to this unjuried, uncensored, salon style, open media exhibition. Drop off begins the Friday before the event and continues until 5pm the night of the opening.
Admission will be free, but there is a suggested donation of $5 to benefit the performers. Several musical acts, such as Dan Breen of Snacks, and Jason Willet (recently featured on the Ed Schrader Show), and Lee Connah’s Frontier Dentists will play on the Friday night closing reception.
However, the fun begins on Thursday night at 8pm with Sean K Preston’s acoustic act, a progressive ambient set by Psynet 34, and a 12 hour ambient floor party: EMULSION. Like the Cloud Watch parties, people are encouraged to “please bring blankets, pillows, stupid toys, whatever it takes to furnish your little plot of floor fall asleep and dream, stay the whole night”.
Inspired by Pittsburgh’s successful “Art All Night”, curator and Art All night veteran Suzannah Gerber, hopes to bring in a larger cross section of the Baltimore community, not only the typical arts crowd. There are no submission requirements, any one piece of art is accepted, and uncensored, and people can sell their work if they choose and not sell if they choose not. Also, because the access to the event is non stop, visitors can come and be involved despite professional or social obligations.
