BmoreArt’s Picks: Baltimore Art Galleries, Openin [...]

Bmore Music Picks is a weekly feature that highlights shows, concerts or events to check out in Baltimore and the surrounding area. While it’s not a comprehensive events calendar, our picks are diverse and may highlight jazz, rock, folk, noise, punk, hip-hop, R&B, metal, experimental or just about any other sub-genre or style that helps make Baltimore’s music scene varied and vibrant.

For a more comprehensive events calendar, check out the Culture FlyShow Space, or Weekly.Citypaper.com.

Tuesday, June 3rd – Vayda / R. Ariel / Adventures of Silver Spaceman / Surf Harp
The Crown, 1910 N. Charles St. at 9:00 PM – $5

While I’ve heard great things about all the artists on this bill, especially Vayda, but I’m recommending this show for Surf Harp — one of my favorite bands not only in Baltimore but in the world. Matter of fact, they just dropped a silly, trippy new video for their song, “Leather” which will be on an upcoming full-length.

Thursday, June 4th – Cold Beat / Romantic States / Outer Spaces / Boy Spit
Metro Gallery, 1700 N. Charles St. at 9:00 PM – $5

I have tickets for another show out of state on Thursday otherwise I’d be at Metro to see Outer Spaces. They are one of my favorite local bands and are a must-see.
