Tuesday, November 18th – Nels Cline and Julian Lage
Creative Alliance, 3134 Eastern Ave. at 7:30 PM – $22 ($20 for members)
Yes, you read that right. The legendary guitar virtuoso and craftsmen, Nels Cline (Thurston Moore and Wilco), will be gracing our presence Tuesday evening at Creative Alliance with young jazz up-and-comer, Julian Lage. This is a must-see, must-purchase, must-make-a-priority event so get your tickets ASAP.

- Tuesday, November 18th – Out of Your Head – Improvised Experimental Music Collective
Windup Space, 12 W. North Ave. at 9:30 PM – FREE - Maybe you can’t shell out $22 for the Nels Cline show. Well, free shows are usually always good shows, but when it’s the Out of Your Head collective then it’s always stellar. A rotating cast of improvisational musicians playing a blend of free jazz and experimental noise makes for a unique experience every time you see it. There isn’t a place in Baltimore that supports a wider range of musical styles than the Windup Space.

Sunday, November 23rd – Baltimore City Paper Presents: Blade Runner
Windup Space, 12 W. North Ave. at 6:00 PM – FREE
I am cheating a bit here because this is not entirely a music event, but it’ll be awesome nonetheless. City Paper editors, Baynard Woods and Brandon Soderberg will be hosting a screening of the Sci-Fi classic, Blade Runner, along with rapper, Abdu Ali and Maryland Film Fest’s, Rahne Alexander. There will be music curated by the group throughout the presentation and well, the movie has music, right?
