Wednesday, July 18th, 9pm at the Charles Theater: John Carpenter’s THEY LIVE screens for $5 from a 35mm print as part of Maryland Film Fest’s Gunky’s Basement series. Introduction by musician Dan Deacon and video artist Jimmy Joe Roche, who curate this series. Awesome screenprinted posters created by Baltimore artist Chris Day will be available for $5 at the door.

Friday, July 20th, 7pm, Charles Theater, FREE! GIRL WALK // ALL DAY This feature-length, narrative guerilla dance movie, shot without permits on the streets of New York, is set to the titular Girl Talk album, and is really a joy to behold. If you know me, you know a dance movie is going to have to be something special for me to enthuse about it. This movie is something special. Presented FREE as part of Artscape!
