Unit of Measure opens Friday, July 8 at Area 405

Vend Send Mend is a fundraiser aimed at raising $8,000 for Doctors Without Borders in relief of Japan’s March 11th earthquake disaster. You, one of 100 illustrators and artists, are invited to contribute one work of art using vending machines as a creative starting point.

All 100 original works of art will be featured during a one-night event at Sub-Basement Artist Studios, Baltimore on Friday, July 1st, 2011. The artwork will be raffled off through a gumball machine. Instead of gumballs, ticket holders will receive a ball numbered anywhere from 1 to 100, determining the order they get to choose their piece.

Tickets for the art raffle are being sold through Sub-Basement Artist Studio’s website at Sub-Basement Artist Studios.current.
