JOHN WATERS: Versailles at Grimaldis Gallery

The work in this exhibition will include photographs and sculpture from 2000 to 2009, including “Versailles.” John Waters states, “Two neighborhoods, two realities. A garden apartment complex in Baltimore defi es the real thing in France. The real estate agent’s cry of ‘Location! Location! Location!’ never seemed more confusing.”
John Waters lives and works in Baltimore. Recent solo exhibitions include Artistically Incorrect: The Photographs and Sculpture of John Waters at the Laumeier Sculpture Park in St. Louis, MO, 2008 and Rear Projection which ran concurrently at Gagosian Gallery in Los Angeles and Marianne Boesky Gallery in New York. Waters will have exhibitions at Rena Bransten Gallery in San Francisco May-July, 2010 and in the fall of 2010 at Christian Nagel Gallery, Berlin, Germany.
