School 33 Art Center and the Baltimore Office of Promotion & the Arts are pleased to announce a public program in conjunction with the closing reception of Vision Quest curated by Jason Hughes. Mystical Circuitry: Mind, Body, and Art is a full day of activities including a film screening, panel discussion, and yoga workshop. This program is in collaboration with The Library and is free and open to the public.

The topic Mystical Circuitry: Mind, Body, and Art will be an intriguing panel and group discussion revolving around various issues addressed in the film and throughout the featured exhibition. Mysticism, the paranormal, transcendence, and consciousness are some of the topics that panelists will discuss and engage in with the audience.

Featured panelists include: William A. Richards, Ph.D., a Psychologist at Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center; Robert R. Hieronimus Ph.D. an artist, author, and host of Hieronimus and Company’s 21st Century Radio; and Patrick O’Malley, one of the featured artists in the current exhibition at School 33 Art Center and an artist in residence for The Baltimore Office of Promotion and the Arts. The panel will be moderated by Zohara M. Hieronimus an award winning radio broadcaster, social justice and environmental activist, author and founder of the Ruscombe Mansion Community Health Center . To close out the day will be a one and a half hour long Vinyasa Yoga workshop taking place at The Library instructed by Franciska Farkas. This will be a meditative yet vigorous Hatha class that includes inversions and pranayama (breathing exercises) and is designed for students that have practiced for at least one month. Variations will be taught for intermediate and advanced students, but is open to all levels. The Library is located one block north of School 33 Art Center.
