This photographic exhibit chronicles Maryland’s fight against domestic violence and the people who have led the way. It features interpretive portraits of more than 20 subjects who have made a significant impact in the fight against domestic violence. These portraits — shot by fine art photographers from around the U.S. — along with short essays, tell the story of domestic violence in Maryland. Subjects include First Lady of Maryland and judge Katie O’Malley, former Governor William Donald Schaefer, former Baltimore Sun reporters, David Simon and William Zorzi; and courageous domestic violence victim, Veronica Ginyard, who was featured on ABC’s Extreme Makeover: Home Edition.

The exhibit opens June 6, 2008 and will be on view at locations throughout Maryland until Summer 2009. It will be at Gallery Imperato June 6 – 27, 2008 (Tues – Sat 11am – 7pm; Sun & Mon by appointment).
