Featuring sculpture, video and painting by 9 regional artists in conjunction with Artscape 2010.
Curated by Area 405’s volunteer staff, Hammer & thread bridges gaps between media and gender through unconventional portraiture, historical precedence and wit.

Area 405 is pleased to announce Hammer & thread featuring work by Ellen Durkan, Jesse Burrowes, Juan Rojo, Sebastian Martorana, James Rieck, RL Tillman, Patrick McDonough, Mary Frank and Peter Boyce.
Located in Baltimore’s Station North Arts and Entertainment District and called “Baltimore’s best alternative space to view art” in RADAR magazine, Area 405 offers the region’s largest exhibition space. At 6,000 square feet, this former industrial site is an ideal context in which to present large-scale exhibitions and events.
