Dustin Carlson is a co-director and co-founder of Gallery Four as well as an artist based in Baltimore City. His most recent solo exhibition, Cowboys and Engines, received Best Solo Show in the City Paper, 2011. Carlson’s work questions our culture’s social constructs in an ironic, at times political, yet playful way. His curatorial experience has brought national attention to artist-run spaces in Baltimore, fostering a commitment to support within the local artist community.
Ayako Kataoka Blasser holds an MFA from Mills College and currently lives and works in Baltimore. Her projects range in medium from sound and performance, to sculpture and installation. Kataoka Blasser’s work has been exhibited, performed, and screened at the Electrogals Festival, High Zero Festival, SF International Arts Festival, The Stone NYC, Tokyo International Dance Video Festival, and Transmodern Festival in Baltimore. Her work is a study of sound, space, perception, movement, and Japanese Mythology.
