WST, SSY: Every week Bmoreart’s contributors travel around town to view the art showing in and around Baltimore City. ‘We Saw This, So Should You’ is a new series where we post photos from these exhibitions to give the work greater exposure. Obviously, photos are inadequate in capturing the inherent qualities of these works. Art is always best viewed in person, so we recommend that you do so, whenever possible.
‘ImpArtIal: New Work by Art & Design Students’ is an exhibition at Harford Community College’s Chesapeake Gallery. The juror was yours truly and the selection process was intense! The opening and juror’s talk happened Wednesday, April 24, and the exhibit will be up through May 23, 2013. Many thanks to the participating students at Harford Community College, many of whom will soon be joining the Baltimore arts community through Towson University, UMBC, and MICA and also a big thank you to Beth Crisman, Gallery Coordinator at Chesapeake Gallery. – Cara Ober
