I have to admit I was skeptical… ANOTHER art supply store? Do we really need this? The newly opened Artist & Craftsman supply store is conveniently located right next to Joe Squared and MICA’s Bank Building, the home of most of the graduate studios, and other studios for advanced undergraduates. I don’t know about you, but I definitely have fond memories of the Hour Haus warehouse, on the corner of the Howard Street Bridge and North Avenue… grunge, beer, bands, large roaches … and I had my doubts that anything professional could exist in this space. But, I was wrong.

I assumed that this would be a bare bones situation… I assumed that there would be a limited selection. They have EVERYTHING here. Plus glitter and kitty cat stickers! The prices are low. The staff is friendly. And there are discounts for MICA students and professors. So bring your I.D.

I am really excited about this store!
