HENRY COE: New Paintings
October 8 – November 14, 2009
Henry Coe, who has shown repeatedly with the C. Grimaldis Gallery, will be exhibiting paintings of the regional landscape as well as works made during recent trips to Maine, Brittany, and around Maryland.
Coe’s works are widely exhibited throughout the United States and are part of collections both in the US and internationally.
Coe has participated as an Artist-in-Residence in Rochefort-en-Terre and Dinan, France. His time spent in France is particularly influential to his work.
CAROL MILLER FROST: from the center: LINE DRAWINGS
October 8 – November 14, 2009
Carol Miller Frost will be exhibiting abstract drawings. In her work she explores fi gure/ground relationships, creating a sense of movement and ambiguity of space. While this body of drawings explores the use of line within a controlled space, she continues to work with a circle motif as well.
Frost has exhibited in Maryland, Florida, Washington DC, Virginia and France and has work in the Prints & Drawing Collection, Baltimore Museum of Art and the University of Richmond Museums.
Both exhibitions will have an Opening Reception on October 8, 2009 from 6:00 to 8:00 pm.
