Baltimore Bike Party squeezed one last, glistening and glittery event into the tail end of Pride month. The Pride Ride took place June 30th, 2023, setting out at 8pm from St Mary’s Park, later than usual after two hours of rain, a thunderstorm and poor air quality (cue “Blame Canada”).
From St. Mary’s, Bike Party headed north up Calvert Street through Mt. Vernon, cut across the Johns Hopkins campus, looped around Wyman Park down the Avenue in Hampden, and ended with beers at Pariah Brewery. While the ride was abbreviated due to the weather, it was high in energy and pride. The night’s riders were dedicated despite wet roads and damp weather, which reflects the spirit of Bike Party—it’s an all-in situation with hell yeah kind of people. If you know, you know… Bike Party!
Baltimore Bike Party meets on the last Friday of each month at St Mary’s Park on Paca Street, rain or shine. Every ride has a theme and riders of all ages, fitness levels, and wheels are welcome. The route changes each time but always ends with an after party.
Baltimore is best by bike. It’s a high-energy, joyful ride for anyone who wants to share their love of biking and the city.
