With Silence Comes Peace at the Silber Art Gallery inside the Athenaeum will be up through Sunday, December 6. This exhibit, which is free and open to the public, can be viewed Tuesday through Sunday from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.

In this exhibit, six artists explore notions of mindfulness, meditation, and spirituality. The exhibit features works by David Brown, Anna Fine Foer, Kim Manfredi, Jo Smail, Kurt Steger, and Stephen Watson.

To complement the art exhibition With Silence Comes Peace, Goucher invites community members and the public to learn about mindfulness, reduce stress, and find peace through Vipassana “insight” meditation.

Four free one-hour weekly meditation classes will be taught by expert teachers from Charm City Yoga:

Sunday, November 1 Instructor: Mira Tessman
Tuesday, November 3 Instructor: Steve Haddad
Thursday, November 12 Instructor: Lorien Nemec
Tuesday, December 1 Instructor: Kim Manfredi

All classes will be held at 3 p.m. in the Silber Art Gallery of the Ungar Athenaeum and are open to everyone—novices, dabblers, and skilled practitioners.

Come explore how art and meditation intersect while also appreciating the thoughtful works in the exhibition With Silence Comes Peace, which will be on display in the Silber Gallery, Tuesday to Sunday from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. through December 6.
