The Best Thing About Artscape

Photos by Amy Boone-McCreesh

For me, the Sondheim Semi-Finalist Exhibition is one of the more visually interesting events centered around Baltimore’s annual Artscape festival. This year, 54 (!!!) artists were selected as semi-finalists; a few were repeats from last year’s group, many have made it to the semi-finals before, and some were brand new to this phase of the prize. For the full list of artists selected visit http://www.artscape.org/visual-arts/visual-arts-detail/1082. The exhibition is held in the Decker and Meyerhoff galleries on the MICA campus and runs a short two weeks, closing August 2.
